C7 is for travel and outdoor photographers who shoot in warm light conditions — golden hour, late afternoon, warm climates — and want a preset that enhances the richness of that light rather than simply making photos warmer.
For photographers who find C5 Summer Warm slightly too bright and C8 Sun-Drenched slightly too bold — C7 sits between them with a more weighted, rich quality.
For photographers whose travel content focuses on warm-light destinations — Mediterranean, desert, golden coastal environments — where rich, saturated warm color is the defining aesthetic.

The warmth has depth. C7 does not just add warmth — it adds color weight. Warm surfaces feel more present, golden light feels richer, and the overall tonal quality has the dimensional depth of film photography.
It is calibrated for the best light. C7 is specifically at its best in golden hour and warm afternoon light. The preset and the light work together rather than the preset compensating for difficult conditions.
It sits in the most useful part of the warm range. Not too clean, not too bold — C7 occupies the most photogenic warm register for travel photography.

C7 works best on photos with warm ambient light — golden hour, afternoon sun, warm interior light. On cool or overcast photos, the rich warmth can feel mismatched with the ambient quality. For cool conditions, use C4 or C6.
White balance: 5,200-5,600K for warm daylight. 5,400-5,800K for golden hour — preserve the natural warmth rather than correcting it.
On phone photos: 80-82% strength. Check Orange Saturation after applying — reduce by -3 to -5 if skin reads too warm.

What is the difference between C7 and C8 Sun-Drenched? California 07 Rich Warm has depth and richness — warm and vibrant with a balanced, considered quality. C8 is the boldest and most electric preset in the collection — maximum warmth and vibrancy for the most colorful travel environments. C7 for golden hour travel, C8 for maximum visual impact.
Does C7 work for portrait photography? Yes for golden hour portrait sessions where the warm light is the defining character. The rich warmth in C7 flatters skin in warm light. For soft-light portrait sessions, C2 Warm Fade is more appropriate.
