This preset captures the intense, high-density aesthetic similar to the iconic KK1 filters. It’s the perfect professional alternative for those wanting a "pushed" analog look that feels deliberate and raw. By emulating the chemical intensity of over-developed 35mm film, the KK1 ensures your digital shots have a polished, heavy-duty finish that stands out in a crowded feed.

Step 1 — White balance first. KK1 assumes a warm-neutral starting point — 5,200-5,500K for outdoor daylight. The refined Kodachrome color reads most naturally on a warm-neutral foundation.
Step 2 — Apply KK1 Soft Kodachrome. The refined slide film color, warm shadows, and film grain apply simultaneously.
Step 3 — Adjust Exposure and White Balance per photo. KK1 handles the Kodachrome+ identity. Exposure and White Balance handle the per-photo differences.
Portrait photography with KK1: the softer saturation of KK1 compared to the K-series makes it significantly more suitable for portrait work. Skin tones are warm and present without the vivid push that K1 can produce on close-up portraits. Apply at 85% strength for portraits.
Camera-specific notes: Sony files benefit from Green Hue +6 toward yellow after applying. Canon files are a natural fit. Fujifilm with Provia simulation creates a particularly refined refined Kodachrome+ quality.
On phone photos: 82-85% strength.

What is the difference between KK1 and K1? K1 is the classic bold Kodachrome look — vivid reds, deep blues, maximum color presence. KK1 is the refined, softer interpretation — same color foundation, less saturation, warmer shadows, more accessible for varied subjects. K1 for maximum Kodachrome impact, KK1 for everyday versatile use.
Can I use KK1 for portrait photography? Yes — KK1's softer saturation and warm shadow quality make it significantly more suited to portrait work than the K-series. It produces warm, dimensional skin tones without the vivid push that makes K1 challenging for close-up portraits.

KK1 is for travel, lifestyle, and portrait photographers who want the Kodachrome color science without the boldness of the K-series — a refined, modern interpretation that works across varied subjects and conditions.
For photographers who want slide film character in a preset they can use daily rather than only for maximum-impact travel content.
