V5 is for outdoor and travel photographers whose primary shooting window is golden hour — the hour before sunset and the hour after sunrise — and who want a preset that enhances the specific golden quality of that light.
For lifestyle photographers and content creators whose visual identity is warm, golden, and sun-soaked — where V5's maximum warmth is the consistent character of everything they produce. Photographers who want every photo to feel like late afternoon in a warm climate.
For photographers who have been using warm film presets and want the maximum expression of the warm direction — where every other warm preset they have tried has felt slightly too restrained for their aesthetic goal.

The warmth is dimensional, not flat. Golden highlights, rich midtones, warm amber shadows — V5's warmth is layered through the tonal range the way film photography was warm, not applied globally like a Temperature slider. The result has depth because the warmth exists in different intensities at different tonal levels.
It references late-afternoon light. V5's golden character is calibrated to the specific quality of warm afternoon and golden hour light — it enhances this light when present and references it convincingly when it is not.
It is the most flattering warm preset for skin in warm light. The golden highlight quality and rich midtone warmth of V5 produce portraits that look golden and luminous rather than warm and orange. The calibration keeps skin flattering even at peak warmth.
It has a distinctive visual identity. Photographs edited with V5 are immediately recognisable as warm, golden, and richly filmic. The preset contributes to the visual statement rather than subtly supporting it.

This preset captures the aesthetic of professional color-negative film that has been exposed for the shadows and scanned with a warm-bias on a high-end Fuji Frontier scanner. It is the professional answer for those who want their work to feel "tangible" and lived-in.
By emulating the characteristic highlight compression and the rich color density found in iconic emulsions like Kodak Portra 400 famed for their ability to turn harsh sunlight into a poetic, golden palette—V5 ensures your photos possess an unmistakable, high-end soul. It transforms clinical digital files into frames that look like they were shot on a vintage medium-format camera during a hazy, Mediterranean afternoon. Unlike a simple filter, it replicates the organic crossover where the warm light bleeds into the shadows, creating a seamless, nostalgic atmosphere that feels like a classic cinematic still.

Step 1 — White balance first. Preserve the warm ambient rather than neutralising it — 5,400-5,800K, Tint +6 for golden hour. Do not over-warm before applying: V5 adds significant warmth on its own.
Step 2 — Apply V5 Golden Velvet. Open any photo in Lightroom. Apply V5 Golden Velvet. The golden colour, rich shadows, and warm film grain apply simultaneously.
Step 3 — Fine-tune. Check Orange Saturation on portraits after applying — reduce by -3 to -5 if skin reads warm-orange rather than golden.
On phone photos: 78-80% strength.

What is the difference between V5 and V2 Warm Film? V2 adds warmth and richness above V1 while remaining versatile for varied content. V5 is the warmest and most golden preset in the collection — maximum warm character that references late-afternoon light specifically. V2 for warm portrait sessions and everyday warm content, V5 for golden hour and the warmest conditions where maximum golden warmth is appropriate.
Does V5 work year-round or just in summer? V5 works whenever the light has warm quality — golden hour, late afternoon, warm-climate destinations. In cool or overcast northern conditions, V5 can read as heavy and mismatched with the ambient. V1 or V2 are more appropriate for those conditions.
Does V5 work in the free version of Lightroom Mobile? Yes. Preset installation and use is completely free in Lightroom Mobile.
