X1 — Dramatic Base The foundation of the collection. Strong tonal separation, clean blacks and whites, expressive contrast. The most versatile dramatic B&W preset — works across street photography, portraits, and documentary work. Start here.

X2 — Deep Shadow Deeper shadows and stronger contrast than X1. The darkest tonal character in the collection outside of X6. Best for scenes with strong directional light where maximum shadow depth serves the composition.

X3 — High Key Dramatic Bright overall with strong contrast — clean, bright highlights and controlled deep shadows. Best for high-key portrait work with dramatic light, architectural photography, and editorial content where the interplay of bright and dark is the subject.

X4 — Cool Urban Slightly cool-toned with strong contrast. A cold, modern quality that suits street photography and architecture. The most urban and contemporary preset in the collection — less warm than X1/X2, more angular and precise.

X5 — Warm Darkroom Classic darkroom warmth with dramatic contrast. A silver-brown quality that references gelatin silver prints on warm-tone paper. The most traditional B&W look in the collection — timeless and refined while maintaining the expressive tonal range of the X Archive.

X6 — Grain Forward Maximum grain character. Raw, textured, and expressive. Best for street photography and documentary work where the grain is deliberately part of the visual statement. The boldest and most characterful preset in the collection.
