The quick export option

For most sharing scenarios, Lightroom Mobile's quick export (Share To) is sufficient. It exports at full resolution in JPEG format — fine for social media sharing where the platform compresses anyway.

Use "Export As" with custom settings only when you need specific dimensions for a platform or print job.

Why Lightroom Mobile export looks different from desktop

Lightroom Mobile exports may look slightly different from desktop exports of the same edited photo. Two reasons:

Different rendering. Lightroom Mobile and Lightroom Classic use slightly different processing for some camera profiles.

No output sharpening on mobile. Lightroom Classic has an Output Sharpening option that adds a final sharpening pass optimized for screen or print. Lightroom Mobile does not have this — the export relies on the editing sharpening alone.

If desktop accuracy matters, export from Lightroom Classic for final delivery.

FAQ

How do I export at a specific size from Lightroom Mobile?

Tap the share icon, select "Export As," and set custom dimensions. Enter your desired pixel dimensions or percentage of original.

Does Lightroom Mobile support TIFF export?

No — Lightroom Mobile exports JPEG or original format only. For TIFF export, use Lightroom Classic on desktop.

Why do my Lightroom Mobile exports look less sharp than desktop?

Lightroom Mobile does not apply output sharpening on export. For maximum sharpness, add a slight Sharpening increase in the Detail panel before exporting.
